Frames that actually fit the print
MEASURED, NOT GUESSED
Our prints are finished to stand on their own, unframed. Still, a frame turns a sheet of paper into a piece you live with. Below are frames that genuinely fit each of our eight print sizes, listed with inner and outer measurements rather than vague promises.
Holds — the largest sheet the frame will take. If this is at or above our print size, the print fits.
Visible area — how much of the print you actually see once the mat (or, on frames without a mat, the frame's own opening) sits over it. It is normally smaller than the print, so the edges are covered. How much varies a great deal — from about 0.1 to 0.55 in (2.5mm to 14mm) per side — so every card gives the real figure on its "▸" line. We print the largest numbers just as plainly as the smallest, so nothing is a surprise when the frame arrives.
Outer — the size of the frame itself. Use this one when you measure the wall or shelf.
About the units: every measurement is given in inches first, with the exact millimetre figure in brackets. Edge coverage on the "▸" lines stays in millimetres, because those distances are only fractions of an inch and the millimetre reads truer.
