Early spring along the Kyu-Nakagawa Waterside Park in eastern Tokyo. Rows of Kawazu cherry trees burst into full bloom along the riverbank, their pale pink blossoms framing the 634-meter Tokyo Skytree rising into the soft sky beyond. Petal-laden branches, the quiet river reflecting the pink canopy, and the modern tower together capture a fleeting metropolitan landscape that exists only for a few weeks between early February and early March.
